RUMAH K.I.D.S
Founded in 1991, Rumah K.I.D.S reaches out to abused, orphaned and abandoned children. The word K.I.D.S stands for Kanak-kanak ini diSayangi and truly, at Rumah KIDS – they are loved and cared for. Under the guidance of house parents, the children are introduced to a new family where they develop friendships with other ‘brothers’ and sisters in a loving environment. They find joy and security in a healthy routine of study, chores, play and rest. Beyond providing the children’s basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and education, Rumah K.I.D.S also cares for the spiritual, mental and physical needs of every child.
Through the last 30 years, Rumah K.I.D.S has housed, fed and nurtured over 300 children. Thanks to well-wishers in the community, from individuals to corporations and non-profit agencies who partner with Rumah K.I.D.S in our mission, orphaned, abused and abandoned children are given the opportunity grow up are realize their full potential.
In this safe and loving environment, shielded from the violence, abuse and neglect they once knew, many of these children grow up in the home, finish their education and are empowered to lead productive lives in the community.
